Passengers travelling on the Snow Hill lines advised to check before they travel this afternoon

Passengers travelling on routes via Birmingham Snow Hill are being advised to check their train times before they travel this afternoon.

There have been two incidents on the route today – a signalling problem at Old Hill and a separate incident elsewhere on the line.

As a result, trains have been delayed and cancelled, with train crew out of position as a result.

Services have now resumed, but delays and cancellations are expected throughout this afternoon and into the evening peak.

Train tickets are being accepted on:

• Network West Midlands buses between Birmingham and Stourbridge, and also between Birmingham and Stratford.
• Chiltern Railway services between Birmingham Snow Hill and Solihull / Dorridge.
• Midlands Metro services between Grand Central and West Bromwich Central.

This acceptance expected to be in place until around 1600 today.

Any passengers delayed by 15 minutes or more by this disruption can claim compensation through Delay Repay.
