Bournville is a safe station, with part-time staffing and 24/7 CCTV recording. You’ll find the ticket office on Platform One, towards Birmingham. First established in 1990, Cadbury World has undergone continuous improvements and expansions, leading to it becoming one of the most popular family attractions across the UK. It currently features 14 zones, which paint the story of how Cadbury created their world-renowned chocolate.

Along your self-guided tour, you’ll find many different attractions and activities to help you discover the art of chocolate making. The ‘Manufacturing’ zone shows you the intricacies of how popular Cadbury brands are made— like Creme Egg, Buttons and Roses— with interactive video stations to view. Travel back 1000 years in time and find a tropical haven in the ‘Aztec Jungle’, where you’ll learn about the origins of the cocoa bean, among trees and beautiful waterfalls. Walking through the rainforest of the Mayan Indians is an eye-opening experience, and one that you won’t forget.

A favourite for all the family is the ‘4D Chocolate adventure’ where you can ride the Crunchie rollercoaster and jump into liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk with the breathtaking 4D cinema experience. Freddo hosts the journey, as you’re whisked away on a gripping ride.

Another popular attraction inside Cadbury World is ‘The Bournville Experience’ which opened in 2007. It focuses on the Quaker ethics of the Cadbury family, and how the Bournville Village was built. It’s a great way to learn about the history of the company, and why its founders are so important to it, to this day.

Inside the venue there are a number of options for food and drink (aside from chocolate of course!) The Cadbury Cafe serves hot and cold food, as well as refreshments, from 09:00-18:00. The Grab and Go next to the cafe is also open from 11:00 until 15:00 serving snacks, pasties and sandwiches.

If you have whizzed through your tour and want to explore nearby places, or are simply looking for other things to do around your trip to Cadbury World, there are plenty of options. Just a 3 minute walk will lead you to Bournville Park, a perfect relaxing spot to sit down and chill out after all the excitement of the tour.

A 7 minute walk onwards from Bournville Park will lead you to Valley Parkway, another scenic spot to stop for a picnic, or even to race mini boats on the lake.

Selly Manor is another great attraction to visit, just a 5 minute stroll from Cadbury World. The beautiful Tudor Manor hosts a range of engaging exhibitions, talks, tours, special events and children’s activities to take you back in time, and experience the Laurence Cadbury (Grandson of the one of the founders of Cadbury) Collection of period furniture and domestic objects.
