The nearest station to Alexander Stadium is the recently rebuilt Perry Barr, about a 20-minute walk from the station.
Perry Barr is on the Birmingham to Walsall line, and there are regular services between Wolverhampton and Walsall via Birmingham New Street. Travel time from Birmingham New Street is about 13 minutes.
About Alexander Stadium during the Games
Alexander Stadium is a track and field athletics stadium in Perry Park, Birmingham. First opened in 1976, the facility became the home of UK Athletics in 2011 following a refurbishment which saw the creation of the 5,000-seater East Stand on the backstraight.
