Information for school travel

Key information for students

In key areas where we expect services to be busy bespoke plans are in place, and with the help of the school, children and parents will be informed of any changes. We will also be keeping a close eye on the number of pupils boarding our trains throughout September.

Up to date timetable information is in online journey planners, alternatively, train timetables are available online. For frequently asked questions, you can find these at the bottom of this page.

Frequently asked questions

Any questions about an existing Season Ticket orders or if you’re wanting to make a new order please contact our team on [email protected].

All up to date train information can be found on live journey planners or on our timetables page in the form of downloadable pdf timetables. Please note that our timetables will be changing from 6th September.

Our timetable changed in September 2020 to introduce more trains onto the network as schools and workplaces return. In some areas, we’ve had to make specific alterations to times of calling patterns, taking other operators into account, but we are consulting with schools concerned to ensure that we provide an appropriate level of service to schools where a significant number of students travel by train. We are continuing to monitor student train usage in conjunction with headteachers and local communities.
