Situated on the banks of the River Avon, this beautiful limestone parish church dates back to 845 and is built in the shape of a cross. William Shakespeare was baptised here and regularly worshipped. Thousands of visitors flock every year to view the playwright's final resting place in the chancel alongside members of his family against the backdrop of a stunning stained glass window.
