Walk in the footsteps of prisoners at your own pace on a self-guided historical tour of Shrewsbury Prison - also known as The Dana - which was constructed by Thomas Telford in 1793 and closed in 2013. Learn more about its gritty and sometimes grim history - the prison had one of the last working execution rooms in the country. Guided tours, which lasts two hours, can also be booked in advance.
