The well-preserved Jacobean house is a grand example of a 17th-century timber-framed building, and now plays host to a museum documenting life in Jacobean times. The collection of English oak furniture is internationally important. Hands-on activities for younger visitors include puzzles and the opportunity to try on replica clothing.
