Anne Hathaway's Cottage

This world famous building, believed to be the place where the young William Shakespeare wooed his older bride, was constructed as a simple two-room building in 1463, and later extended. It was home to Hathaway and her family before she married the playwright, and the magnificent property retained those family connections until as late as 1911.
