Christmas In Coventry
Christmas is made magical in Coventry with top theatre shows and alternative panto.
The main stage at Belgrade Theatre, which is a short walk from Coventry train station, hosts Iain Lauchlan’s charming version of Sleeping Beauty from November 21. Follow Princess Belle as she pricks her finger and falls into a 100-year sleep unless her one true love, dashing Prince Valiant, can pucker up and save the day.
Over The Top
The B2 Stage at the theatre showcases the alternative pantomime Over The Top from December 1. Katy Stephens directs an all-female cast in a pun-filled adventure behind enemy lines.
Over at Warwick Arts Centre, which is a short bus ride from Coventry train station, Tall Stories - the theatre company that brought us The Gruffalo - mine the short stories of Oscar Wilde from November 28 for their Christmas treat Wilde Creatures. Live music and comedy collide as a motley crew of storytellers compete to spin the most outlandish and hilarious fairy tale.
