In addition to our Delay Repay scheme, we realise that the extent of disruption deserves more recognition.
We will be discounting season tickets by 3%, which more than offsets the national fares rise on Thursday 2 January 2020.

- Weekly, monthly, monthly+ and annual season tickets
- West Midlands nTrain
What tickets don't qualify for the discount?
- Day Single, Day Return and Return - Advance, Super Off-Peak, Off-Peak, Anytime
- West Midlands nNetwork (train, bus & tram combined)
Scholars (students) season tickets
When will the discount apply?
Season tickets purchased from 2 January 2020 until 1 January 2021 (inclusive) may receive the 3% discount.
How do I get the discount?
All West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway staffed ticket offices will apply the 3% discount when you buy your ticket. Avanti West Coast and Chiltern Railway ticket offices can also apply the discount.
Furthermore, all other retail providers (including online) will automatically apply the discount from Thursday 16th July 2020.
If you have bought your ticket between 2 January and 15 July 2020 and did not receive a discount at the point of purchase, you may be eligible for a 3% refund via our online form below.
Frequently asked questions
Avanti West Coast and Chiltern Railway ticket offices can apply the discount, these include: Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Moor Street, Solihull, Dorridge, Coventry, Birmingham International, Rugby, London Euston, Runcorn, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford.
For customers who have purchased their nTrain Swift season tickets from West Midlands Network via direct debit and corporate accounts should now receive a 3% discount through their monthly direct debit payments.
Season Tickets purchased online or through the Smartcard scheme cannot automatically apply the 3% discount, you can retrospectively apply for your discount via our online form.
Season Tickets purchased through self-service ticket machines cannot automatically apply the 3% discount, you can retrospectively apply for your discount via our online form
On routes where we are not the primary train operator, and therefore do not price the 'any permitted' ticket we cannot offer the discount, these include:
- Stoke-on-Trent - Birmingham
However, if we do share the line with another train operator, and your ticket has 'WMR/LNR only' printed on it the discount will apply.
Annual season tickets qualify for a 3% refund, or you can choose to take the 3% when you renew in December 2020.
