Station Travel Surveys
Have your say on what issues and opportunities are facing your station
We’re launching a brand-new initiative called 'Stations as Places' aimed to put railway stations at the heart of the communities they serve.
'Stations as Places' is part of our ongoing commitment to making stations better places for everyone. Through the West Midlands Stations Alliance, we work in partnership with local authorities, Network Rail, West Midlands Rail Executive, community groups including our Community Rail Partnerships and businesses to make stations more welcoming and attractive.
We are creating a series of prospectuses for every station on the network, based on local knowledge and research. This process will allow us to work together with local communities and businesses to improve the station environment and the overall customer experience.
For every prospectus we’ll be examining things like vacant property opportunities, facilities at the station, cycle and car parking, how and why people travel and accessibility. Each station prospectus will vary, but they often include:
- Issues and opportunities facing the station and the surrounding area
- An action plan that addresses the issues
- Contact details for those who are interested in signing up and making a difference
