West Midlands Trains to run amended timetable this Saturday

An amended timetable will be in place across the London Northwestern and West Midlands Railway networks on Saturday. Passengers are advised to check before they travel.

West Midlands Trains and the RMT have formulated a settlement agreement covering the role of conductors on the new trains. However, the agreement has come too late to withdraw Saturday’s amended timetable.

The agreement will be subject to a workforce referendum but in the meantime, the remaining strikes have been suspended.

A West Midlands Trains spokesperson, said: “Both sides have worked hard on our shared vision to keep a conductor on every passenger train with safety critical duties.”

The outcome means that Saturday’s strike has been called off, but an amended timetable will run and passengers are advised to check before they travel.
