Flooding: Rail passengers in West Midlands urged to check journeys

Commuters in the West Midlands are being urged to check their journeys ahead of the evening peak as parts of the network continue to experience flooding today (Thursday 14 November).

Services to and from Bromsgrove are among those experiencing delays and cancellations after flooding affected the tracks at Barnt Green, causing trains to be diverted.

Elsewhere, the line between Birmingham Snow Hill and Stratford-upon-Avon is also experiencing delays and cancellations due to the adverse weather conditions.

Just outside the West Midlands region, flooding closed the line between Birmingham and Bristol, leading to displacement of trains and increasing congestion in the region.

Passengers are advised to check their train before setting out and to consider allowing extra time for their journey if their route is among those affected.
